There are many very good restaurants in the town, including the famous Wheelers Oyster Bar and The Crab and Winkle as well as a range of very good pubs, with The Old Neptune being directly on the seashore.
Jo Jo’s is well worth a look, always busy – you must book! Bring your own wine, meaning you can enjoy some wonderful charcuterie, seafood or meze served by knowledgeable and friendly staff for around £25 per head. They do have a full range of drinks and some exceptional puddings!
Established in 1698, Shepherd Neame is a family owned brewery that creates some great ales and lagers with many of Whitstable’s pubs being supplied by them, as the brewery is located in the neighboring town of Faversham.
